Dr. Douglas Baasch is a dual-degree, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon dedicated to helping patients restore confidence, comfort, and function through compassionate, expert care. A Lifelong Dedication to Helping Others Heal
Originally from rural Vermont, Dr. Baasch was drawn to the high-skill, high-impact nature of oral and maxillofacial surgery. From early in his career, he recognized the incredible opportunity this specialty offers to improve lives, whether by restoring oral function, correcting deformities, or helping patients overcome pain and trauma.
He joined Kitsap OMS in 2021 after completing his residency and spending a year in private practice. In choosing this practice, he sought a team of like-minded surgeons committed to clinical excellence and patient-first values. The natural beauty and family-friendly environment of the Pacific Northwest made it the perfect home for his family.

Dr. Baasch is passionate about making patients feel safe, seen, and heard. He takes the time to connect with each patient, particularly those experiencing dental anxiety, and creates a welcoming environment that supports their comfort and peace of mind.

Dr. Baasch enjoys a vibrant life outside the practice. He spends quality time with his wife and two sons exploring the Pacific Northwest, running marathons—including the Boston Marathon—and appreciating the region’s natural beauty. With a degree in music performance (cello), Dr. Baasch has a lifelong love for classical music and has performed with orchestras across the country.
His passion for healing runs in the family: his father is a general dentist, and his twin sister and younger sister are both in healthcare.
